Once the World Was Perfect

This project is an editorial website based on the poem ‘Once the World Was Perfect’ by Joy Harjo done with Readymag. This poem tells about the bright and dark side of humanity. By utilizing different widgets on Readymag, it enables me to create an experience for the reader to read and play with the interactive typography. The handling of pixelated typography and imagery conveys the “perfect” and “imperfection” of the world portrayed in the poem. While the poem section itself utilizes the play between the typographical elements to achieve the expressive outcome translating the meaning of each words.
