The Unseen Heroes of the CBD

This photo book aims to reveal the 'unseen heroes' such as the cleaners, construction workers, delivery men, and other jobs whose works are often taken for granted, especially in the CBD area. The photographs use the concept of ‘spotting the unseen’ by capturing both the workers and the objects that revolve around their daily tasks. The photos were taken around the area of Raffles City, Telok Ayer, and Downtown MRT Station, sequenced in the day-to-night timeline in the photo book to show the hero behind the clean and systematic environment of the CBD area. The form of the photo book itself reflects the tall buildings around the CBD area by using a grey hardcover to mimic the solid look of the walls of the skyscrapers.
